Hello Everyone,

Thank you for your time and consideration. I am writing to express my deepest concerns for the safety of animals and humans at the intersection of Hayes and Octavia, Hayes Valley, San Francisco, CA.

I am requesting that a traffic light/signal be placed and installed at this intersection as soon as possible.

Below is a very sad example of the loss of life of a two years of age puppy. It is heart breaking and we can make a change by installing a traffic light/signal at this intersection to slow traffic. Let's make the change and be proactive so that another life is not lost because of a car.

Our beloved puppy was hit by a car on Hayes and Octavia around 9:20pm last night. We want to warn all the dog owners to leash their dogs at all times due to the park nearby and a lot of foot traffic plus Ubers double parked making it hard to see what car goes when. Learn from our mistakes. Those that were there we want to thank for the support. If anyone who was there wants to reach out to us, please call (323) 640-3366.
