# NameTell us why innocence matters to you
Anonymousinnocence until proven guilty beyond a reasonable doubt. PRINCIPAL CONSTITUTIONAL RIGHT
Courtney DavisIf Troy Davis may be innocent then his case MUST be re-opened. He MUST not be murdered. This would be a complete perversion of justice. I am praying that God will guide the hearts and minds of those on the Supreme Court.
Nicolas Boitonbecause no justice = no manhood
AFONSOIf Troy Davis is killed, the policeman killer will be safe. It is so unfair !!!
dillenseger
MARTINI think the reply is embedded in the question ...
HERVE XavierSTOP this
NozaradanNot respecting innocence is just dictatorship. This is untolerable. I thought USA would understand that after all that have been said about democracy.
NorillaStop these crualities.
TESTEDOR LucasIl doit vivre contrairement au mensonge américain.
Jean-Luc DuchêneI am against death penalty for guilty people. Why should I be happy that an innocent might be killed ?
william wreath
Mady Sylvie
AnonymousAs was said by another signer: It is what our law is based on...innocent until proven guilty.
Robert PalermoThe facts presented here prove Reasonable Doubt...our laws provide that one is guilty only when proven BEYOND a Reasonable Doubt, not to mention recantation of testimony. Poor legal counsel led to this conviction, which on review should be grounds for a new trial, if not outright overturned.
maria armoudian
Erica FranklinState-sponsored homicide is wrong, especially when arbitrary
Michael Ifrah
AnonymousI will continue to pray that justice is served!!!
whitneycause, it does.
EVRARD
Barbara Mccain
Andrea AshfordWhen ignorance reigns life is lost. Free Troy Anthony Davis! The world is watching.
GalitBecause innocence matters.
Tyler Olson
Anonymous
Michele QueyroyWhere is true Justice without innocence matters.
Kevin HillA person should not have to endure the consequences for the action of another.
BETTY JACKSON
Tierney OberhammerIf innocent people are killed, then hope for good men is lost. We need hope. And no one has the right to decide who lives or who dies.
Terry GleasonTo live your life the way you do, not by what other do.
Esther ZellsTo put Troy Davis to death in the face of recanted testimonies leaving no credible evidence of his guilt is to commit murder. Justice must prevail.
Mary LickertJustice must belong to us all.
Kelsey RogersIf we as individuals do not defend the innocent, who will be there to stand up for us when we are falsely accused. With the amount of evidence that appears to be in question in this case, it seems to me inconceivable that our justice system could proceed to execute this man without rehearing his case. Also, even if he were guilty, does he pose a substantial enough threat to society at large to execute him? The courts need to consider this case.
Jean Standish
Anne GallagherThis is clearly an injustice – there is no excuse to execute someone when there is this much evidence pointing to innocence.
Juanita Phillips
Tess Morrisinnocence matters because God honours what is right and what is just.
AnonymousHe deserves A Fair Trial.
Sheryl Parker
Carina RydbergI am against the deathpenalty as such, and the risk of somebody who is innocent being executed is to me a very good reason for the deathpenalty not being practised at all.
Tim GeorgeInnocence determines, life or death, justice or corruption. If Troy Davis is in fact innocent, which I believe he is, and is executed, then the state of Georgia will be the murderer!
Hayley MorrisBecause everybody deserves justice
Troy Allen DodgeFREEDOM!!!!!
Marie Rébeillé-BorgellaIt is a fundamental right for every human to be protected from being convicted when he is innocent.
Ellen Irwin SaalTo execute someone who may be innocent is wrong morally and ethically. The world is watching.
Albert Novick
AnonymousThe death penalty cannot be reversed. Therefore, it is absolutely imperative that courts know beyond a shadow of a doubt that the alleged perpetrator is guilty of the crime for which he is being executed. In my own home state of North Carolina, one innocent person has been removed from death row for every six people executed.
Ann DunlopInnocent until PROVEN guilty is one of the basic rights in the United States. Lies should not be accepted as proof. Any one of us could be Troy Davis.
Robert PatrickWhat can justice mean if we are willing to send a man to death on evidence that is full of doubt and not at all convincing beyond a reasonable doubt? Troy must have a new trial.
