# NameTell us why innocence matters to you
Emily MartucciNo one should be put to death for any crime because human beings should not control who lives and dies. The fact that there is no clear evidence against this man is reason enough to suspend his death until more evidence is found. If more evidence is found to prove his guilt, he still should not be put to death, but sent to prison for life where he will have a chance to realize the wrongs he committed.

David Cogswell
William BargeI want to know that if I or someone I loved were ever falsely accused, we would have a fair judicial system of government to rely on. If the execution goes through the most basic right of fair treatment under the law has been violated in the worst possible way.
Erin Glesne-SmithTaking someones life is an irrevocable decision and should never be done without absolute certainty. Something that is completely lacking in this case.

AnonymousInnocence matters to Troy Davis - We have truly taken away his entire life since 1989 for no reason other than greed, jealousy, and pressuring of corrupt policemen. It is unfair to him to not only ruin his life but take it as well.
Ricky67I am against the death sentence for Troy Davis and hope that things will be at the end. Ricky67 (A French citizen).

Xavier Octavio StewartWe are a country governed by our laws. We use these laws to advance our society. In this case the laws that help to keep us save are jeopardizing the freedom of Troy Davis. Our laws were not meant to condemn the innocent but to convict the guilty and in this case the evidence proves that the latter is about to happen. To execute this man would be a crime and should be allowed to happen!

Ronald GholstonIt matters because a no goverment is above the law of god. If there is any doubt or witnesses who recanted there statement, the prisoner should not die! More time to be given until the investigation is finnish!....... He who kill will be killed!!!

GraceIt would be unjust not to allow Troy Davis the chance to have the new evidence heard in court. Please stop this execution.
Cynthia MillerThis is an absolute travesty of justice. Is this what our great country has become? When the innocent or possibly innocent are railroaded to death row. It could be anyone of us at any given moment.
GuiardNe le tuez pas, car vous vous ne pourrez pas dire que vous êtes innocents ensuite...

ROB LEVYBecause,if a person is innocent, there is no reason or justification for any punishment, rehab or need for incarceration/state murder in order to protect the public.
DULIN ANNENo democratic country has a right to condemn an innocent person. Especially when no evidence whatsoever has been found against this person. How will the Georgia Supreme Court ever get to sleep at night after such a decision?
Goudard fredeverybody must have a fair judgement more today than in the past
AnonymousI think there are sufficient doubts not to execute Mr Davis
AnonymousJe vous prie instamment d’intervenir pour arrêter le processus d’exécution de Troy Davis en demandant à La Cour Suprême des Etats-Unis de sursoir à l’exécution de Troy davis, et accepter de réexaminer le cas.

GAMEZ ClaudeI have always been against death penalty, specially when there is no proof and no evidence, in a trial where everything is made to condemn poor black people, because they are not rich enough to be correctly defended.

Jacqueline JungBecause we as Americansbelieve that a person is innocent until proven guilty, because we believe in the rule of law, because we believe in fair play, in justice, in truth and in honor. This citizen of the US has not been treated honorably.
George MeyerThe most fundamental principle of justice is fairness. Allowing the execution of a likely innocent person is wrong.
