Name: Gloria Sheppard on Aug 30, 2002State: CACountry: USComments: I wholeheartedly agree. What is a young man supposed to do If they have paid their debt to society, why can't they get a job so that they will have an incentive to continue on the straight and narrow. Besides, the vast majority of them have children who need to be taken care of. That will relieve the welfare system of having to take care of them.Flag

Name: Susan Worry on Oct 1, 2002State: PACountry: USComments: I totally agree with you. My exhusband is due to get out of prison. He was sentenced 3 to 10 years for a robbery. He served 6 of the 10, and now they are putting him on parole. He has to go to a halfway house before he can come home. They put so many provisions on him that is will be almost impossible for him to even lead a normal life. We have to go to his PO everytime we want to see each other, and get an approval. What kind of crap is that IWe have 2 children together and we are going to try to reconcile our relationship. How is this going to be possible if his PO decides that he can't see me. I always thought when you were released from prison, you were rehabilitated, there fore you should get to lead a normal life just like everyone else!!!!!!!!!!!Flag

Name: Zinnia Echeandia on Oct 7, 2002State: NYCountry: USComments: I believe that ex-offenders deserve the right to make a new life for themselves whether they be released on parole or have served their deemed time. We all deserve a second chance at life. These people have paid for their mistakes please prevent them from returning to their old ways. Give them a chance. If it were your relative, wouldn't you feel the sameFlag

All of the text book authors are in agreement with your theory. The correction methods of the past are continually being shown to be ineffective with statistical data.Flag

Although I have held jobs and positions of trust since then, most companies and of course the government don't take it into consideration that it's something I did when I had just turned 18: 7 years ago. I haven't had a job that paid over 5.75 since.Flag
