Ann Elliott | I have PCOS. Married for 13 yrs and no children.
Robert R. Walmsley | I urge the passage of this bill. Infertile couples pay their insurance premiums just as all else. They do not receive a discount because of existing infertility conditions. Yet, the carriers avoid having to provide coverage. This is entierly inequitable and must be remedied. I am an attorney having practiced in the field of assisted reproduction for over 20 years. I see the pain suffered. Not only should carriers have to provide coverage for fertility treament, they should be required to offer coverage for surrogates -- upon payment of a premuim -- just like any other pregnant woman is otherwise entitled.

Jennifer Solbach | This is a medical problem that should be covered by medical insurance like anything else. The financial burden of treatment adds greatly to the stress and heartbreak of the whole process.

Amie L. McClain | Currently doing a cycle of IVF, I have an HMO that does not cover a thing except ultrasounds and bloodwork. I am a hard worker and deserve to have a child of my(our) own without draining all of our expenses completely. This cycle so far has cost us over $8000.
Anna Plum | Infertility is a disease that affects millions of couples in the United States including myself and my husband. In many cases the cause is unknown and due to an underlying, undiagnosed health problem. This is a most basic quality of life issue and should therefore be covered as a mandate of Federal law. I am ashamed in our country that infertility is not covered by insurance when conditions such as erectile dysfunction and even some cosmetic procedures are covered.
