The indoor soccer fields require upgrades to reduce occurrences of injury to our amateur soccer athletes. Softer, thicker and more natural surfaces have been available for years yet the city and the Alberta Soccer Association have failed to upgrade our fields to protect our players from many preventable injuries to muscles, tendons, ligaments, and bones. It would also reduce occurrences of infection due to open tears from the currently abrasive turf. This petition is intended to push the governing bodies of the Edmonton Indoor Soccer community to make necessary upgrades to these damaging surfaces.
