Comments: Yes, it is desirable to have a database to disclose full specification on the pattern similar to US, PCT, Europe. Also the decisions of patent offices like the one seen in US (PAIR) should be developed.

Comments: Through this petition, i request that we need a comprehensive database at IPO which would be at par with global standards, especially when India has also an added responsibility to be one of the ISA and ISEA. Thanks

Comments: This issue should have been taken care of long time back…A patent application (specification) once published goes into public domain…but alas in the Indian context its other way round…it remains as the intellectual property of Indian Patent Office…of course we are lagging behind in comparison to other contemporary major patent offices…it can be easily understood that the measures these contemporary offices have undertaken and adopted has smoothen and made transparent everything….a thing which we should definitely look forward to in Indian context…so please….if realized….would be a welcome thing…placing India on IP global map…

Comments: I had been working in the Indian Patent Office as an Examiner from 2002 till 2011 March. I had closely seen that a group of senior officers act in the said Patent Office, particularly in Kolkata for their personal interests! In Kolkata there are many senior officials who have not been transferred for at least 15 years. This is the basic reason for the system for these Officers not to be transparent. There are some officers in the patent office who act for their personal benefits so as to make the "module" through computer system inefficient. Persons who are not in the engineering disciplines advise on the computer systems of the office. Experts in that field are barred intentionally so that no good outcome exists through the online system of the office. I had closely seen millions incidences. And I can name quite a few who are solely responsible for such non-transparent acts for personal benefits. These officers act within a coterie-driven atmosphere and this nexus with the evil forces of the office is really strong! Mr. Prime Minister, I urge upon your kind self to stop this "personal interest" effect in the patent office and transfer the senior officials of the office who are present in Patent Office Kolkata for more than 15 years!
