Name: Neeraj Tyagi on Nov 13, 2006Country: INComments: This is nothing but a vote politics & these politicians are in no way concern to the upliftment of the poor section of the society. This is the fact that benefits are not reaching to the one who need it but rather to hand ful of people who have alraedy there reach to top position. In my view no society can live in harmony unless there is a balance in all class of socity and help should be provided to ones who needs, irrespective of relegion, community or cast. Further the help has to be financial help in order to give the poor people the best available opportunity to compete and excell. Rather then pumping in incompetent person in to the system and dragging the country in the era of stones. In place of advocating for reservations in private sector why cant we think that all corporates needs to adopt few districts and start world class education for the people who are poor and give them the opportunity to stand up in real sense and help the country to build up real strong base.Flag

Name: Happy Tiwari on May 12, 2007Country: INComments: OBC reservation It is heartening for an OBC like me to see the efforts taken by the Centre to implement 27 per cent reservation for OBCs in IIMs and IITs in the face of opposition from the strong anti-reservation lobby. Tamil Nadu Chief Minister M. Karunanidhi deserves all praise for waging a war against the elite for the cause of the vast majority of OBCs. Reservation is a matter of right and not a gift from the Government or some socially irresponsible groups that have so far garnered the benefits of higher learning at the cost of taxpayers through a virtual factor called merit. Merit is only a byproduct of advantageous life. The only tool that can bring about social equality is reservation based on caste.Flag
