Comments: Is this hike in fees, some kind of bussiness to milk the people ?? The govt should provide service, and for that, we the people are ready to pay a reasonable fee. We should not be pressurised.

Comments: I TOTALLY DISAGREE, AS THE UK FEES FOR VISITING ARE well over 90pounds, also a struggle to get the visas too. this is a 2- way situation, why should INDIA charge lower visa-fees.

Comments: This is day light robbery and one definite way to kill the expanding tourist traffic to India which as it is , is way behind on encouraging tourism. Goes to show the incompetence of the authorities in not thinking this through. If it is aimed as a tit for tat to the UK govts unfair treatment of Indian citizens applying for visas to come here, then at least the Indian Govt should exempt UK citizens of Indian origin from this extortionate charge. It will certainly put me off visiting India at the drop of a hat as I like to.

Comments: Indian trips are out if it gets too expensive. We work hard and save for these trips.India will no longer be value for money-just to go and see distant relatives-may be talk to them using phone and email etc to keep contact-it is time for us to redefine our links with India.May be India does not want us to think that our grandparents were Indians.Time to move on.

Comments: These fees are UNREAL. We British Indians collect millions of pounds for charities in India and we have to send our representatives to India to oversee these charities. These visa fees are ridiculous. Better idea is to repatriate all the Swiss Account monies of Indian politicians which should probably reduce the visa fees to vicinity of £25.

Comments: Many of Hindus has to return to their mother land India to perform Religious ceremonies such as last rites or to go on once in life time pilgrimage. They will be unnecessarily burned with extra cost of visa which has no justification to be raised in such drastic manner. Especially when the processing is now been outsourced which has reduced your (Indian High Commission) overhead cost? So why increase the visa fee.
