Name: Anonymous on Feb 3, 2013Comments: The High Commissioner Of India I refer to the India Government's decision to increase the India Visa fees from £42 to £92 from 17th January 2013. This is more than 100% increase at a time.I am not saying the charges should not be increased. If they need to be increased then it should be a reasonable increase. I am residing in United Kingdom since 1970. Just to point out that, most British Indian families prefer to take their Children born in Britain to visit India to help them make connections with the country of origin. There is already a 'trend' developing amongst British born Indians around the whole issue of Country of origin and having some 'loyalty/kinship' to India. This huge increase in Visa fees charges will create lose of revenue for India + future generation will break connection with India thus losing their nativity . I am not saying the charges should not be increased. If they need to be increased then it should be a reasonable increase. Anil MavadiaFlag

Name: Mahendrachavda on Feb 3, 2013Comments: This is just a callous act on foreigners by the indian govermnent and selfishness to syphen out as much of the foreign currency like sterling and us dollar as they regarded to be the most lucrative when converted into rupees with such high exchange rate. It would be sad to see that lot of patriotism would be lost to india and people will look elsewhere for better times. Indian goverment should think over for such an outrageous levy on foreigners. If such a hike in price would have been put in india for anything what would be the outcome.Flag

I would like my children & grand children vist India & see & leran the culture. If the government increases the fees then it would be very expensive for a big family to have the visas to travel to India.Flag
