Name: Anonymous on Jan 29, 2013Comments: The increase is totally unjustifiable. Why penalise us. If the increase is due to UK Govt Visa fees in India for Tourist Visa then you cannot compare it. Can you guarantee if 100 applications made in India for UK Tourist Visa will return back in time. There will be 10-20% who will have wrong intentions and thinking of overstaying or not going back. But 100 Tourist Visa issued here in UK for India- all or 99% will come back. Be realistic about the cost. You will loose revenue as we will be put off visiting India and visit other countries. One hand you promote tourism and other hand you want to penalise finacially. All direct flights to India are majority people of Indian Origin although all are not interested in OCI/POI. Think rationally and reduce the Tourist Visa fees. Thank youFlag

Name: Babubhai Patel on Jan 29, 2013Comments: This increase is absolutely rediculous and scandallous. Greed is the best word to describe this increase. You should encourage people - originally from India residing overseas and other visitors to travel to India, whreby they all spend money in India and boost India's economy. This rise merely discourages people. Think of 5 famile members travelling to India and the cost of getting the visas - a definite discouragement to go to India. Surely this is NOT what India needs. Every country oin the world encourages easy access to visitors - why not India? Absolutely disbusted about this.Flag

Name: Bhavin Patel on Jan 29, 2013Comments: Increasing visa cost does not translate to increased revenues as this will lead to decrease in tourist numbers thereby limiting India's potential as a leader in technology and vacation spots. India as a country needs to look beyond the carrot and see the person holding the stick.Flag

Name: Vipul Sharma on Jan 29, 2013Comments: 100% hike in the visa fee is totally unacceptable. This is now a huge cost to consider when one travels with his whole family of 4-5 members to india. not eveyone can afford these high fees. A fee hike of 20% is still workable but 100% is totally unacceptable...Flag
