Name: Dipak Brahmin Pandit on Jan 20, 2013Comments: I oppose this unreasonable rise in Indian visa fee as this means less tourists in India. I think they must charge minimum to attract more tourists from around the world. Tourists spend good money in India and are also the back borne of the economy.Flag

Name: Rusmi Parekh on Jan 20, 2013Comments: I was going to write a letter myself but as Mr Popat has already done this I will sign this petition as it is only acceptable to increase visa fees at inflation levels not to double. Also if the Indian high commision does not listen to us I will only have this to say people will simply choose not to visit india which means they will not receive tourism income as people will just decide to go to cheaper destinations. For the price of the visa one person can have a short break in Europe.Flag

Name: Baldev Sharma on Jan 20, 2013Comments: This is a huge increase in the visa fees, which will discourage people from travelling to india. They will go to other countries. india would be the loser in the long run. It will also be unfair to the Indians who want to visit their home country. It is high time that the Government of India rescinded this unfair increase and be sensible about it.Flag
