We, the 5 students from Singapore International School (Hong Kong), think that the current minimum allowable wage for helpers is an acceptable salary. We feel that the helpers should be earning 5600 per month rather than 4010 Hong Kong dollars. We have calculated the suggested salary by deducting appropriate amounts of money, for provided services by the employer e.g: food, accommodation etc., from an average local worker’s salary in Hong Kong*please refer to the next page for exact measurements.
