The current law for the distance a pot store can be to a school zone is 1000 feet. Even though that is a reasonable distance for a business to be set up, it is still not enough because these pot stores are still affecting students at school. Some students are even selling marijuana on campus and these same campuses have a marijuana store nearby. The best solution to this issue is to increase the distance of the marijuana stores from the schools to 1500 feet because then they would not have the same effect on schools but still be able to set a business.
