Voluntary Income Cap

The petition

In 2004, the nation’s top 1 percent raked in more income than the bottom 40 percent, Congressional Budget Office research released in December 2006 indicates.

In order to equalize the inequity in the United States and because we believe healthcare, housing, education and food are fundamental human rights, we ask that those earning more than $4 million/year, voluntarily cap their salary at $4 million and donate the rest to an organization fighting domestic poverty.
