Name: Shane Blanchard on Dec 12, 2003Comments: I truly believe in "Land of the Free", and the way things are going it shall not be anymore. Taking away something that this country was "Founded" on is completely wrong and I strongly disagree with it. The child that does'nt believe in saying under God in the pledge of alligence should not say it, don't punish society for a whole for the thoughts of a few. The person who does'nt like a prayer being said should leave a room and come back or cover their ears. We have that right and slowly losing all of it. Shane BlanchardFlag

Name: Jeannette Borge on Dec 13, 2003Comments: I am grateful for this kind of petition to let those that need to, know that it would definately be a disgrace to remove these sacred and unharming words from where they are now located. I can't believe that now more than ever in the society that we live in instead of enforcing some belief in a higher power be that God, Allah, or whatever, you would want to take out all mention and idea of God. Our founding fathers included these words because they truly believed in God and were grateful in he helping them to obtain and free this great land for us. Don't make the mistake of believing that just by erasing some words you can erase faith, hope and trust. Values we needed then and continue to need now.Flag
