Name: Carl Davidson on Jul 29, 2003Comments: I am a Corporal in the United Marine Corps. I was involved in Operation Iraqi Freedom. I beleive that all these unpatriotic persons trying to have The Unites States Moto changed should go and fight for their freedom and the freedom of others.I myself am Agnostic but it is not about religion it is about pride. If they don't like the Moto then they can pack up and get out of my country. If they do not like the freedoms that are given. Let them go and find another place to live were they have the same rights were they can badmouth their country and get away with it. Sincerely Cpl. Carl B. Davidson U.S.M.C. ActiveFlag

Name: William Lewis Jr on Jul 29, 2003Comments: I am Corporal Lewis, USMC. I as well as Cpl Davidson was involed in Operation Iraqi Freedom. We have seen what it is like when people have no freedoms outlined for them, they have only what their leaders allow. All these people that have the right and privelege to complain about the wording of the Pledge of Allegiance, our country's motto, and what is printed on our Country's currency, need to join the military. They need the opportunity to understand the meaning of the things that they have their panties in a bunch about. Maybe even leave the country and try living in a country without the rights that our founding fathers fought so hard for, who put those wordings and phrases into place. Then see if those people seem so content in complaining. Cpl Lewis, USMC. ActiveFlag

Name: Kimberly Gamble on Aug 7, 2003Comments: well the reason I think we should keep "IN GOD WE TRUST" is because things are getting tough, and we need to keep God in everything we do.If we change "IN GOD WE TRUST" to a name that means evil, not only will we have HELL on earth we will have HEll in us.Flag

Name: DeLana Dampier on Aug 7, 2003Comments: We,as a country, should not remove "In GOD We Trust" off of our currency! We are a nation founded by God and If we allow this to happen it would be denouncing everything we stand for! We are a nation that was created by God in the beginning and We need to let it remain that way!Flag

Name: Patricia Burke on Oct 6, 2003Comments: I think we need to do a lot more than just keeping the word "God" in the Pledge of Allegiance, we need to put the 10 Commandments and morality back in school. A moment of silence in school for those students who wish to pray is not infringing upon anyone's right to not pray. Removing it is infringing on the rights of those who do wish to pray. People who believe in God have rights too!Flag

Name: Kelli Behunin on Oct 13, 2003Comments: I don't see why 4 words have so many people in an uproar. Tolerance for religious beliefs goes both ways. This country was formed by people who sacrificed everything they had so that they could worship their God as they saw fit. Why should it be so offensive that God is mentioned in the pledge and on our currency No one is forcing atheists or other religions to say the pledge or to read the money. Can't we leave a tradition that's over 200 years old aloneFlag

Name: Mary Port on Oct 15, 2003Comments: To have (1) man use the excuse his daughter should not be forced to participate in the pledge is outrageous. HE is the athist not her. She is being "used" to further "HIS" ambition to force athism(sp)on a population that is 80-90% god believers. I will seriously consider leaving the US if this man is powerful enough to unravel the basic fabric of this country. I believe this man is attempting to voilate my right of FREE speech.Flag
