Comments - Your opinion carries weight, please add a comment!: I do not have children in Medford Public Schools, but I strongly support this initiative. Investing in the school system will make the city attractive to home buyers, renters, and businesses, and in today's educational climate, inadequate technology in a school system is a way of announcing to the world that we don't care about our children or our community, and that we've given up on positioning ourselves as a progressive, forward-looking community that draws business and nonprofit development.

IT'S TIME FOR THE MAYOR, THE CITY COUNCIL, AND THE SCHOOL COMMITTEE TO STEP UP AND DO THE RIGHT THING AND TO FULLY FUND THE TECHNOLOGY NEEDS OF OUR SCHOOLS TODAY SO THAT OUR TEACHERS HAVE THE NECESSARY TOOLS TO DO THEIR JOBS AND SO THESE KIDS ARE PROPERLY PREPARED FOR THE CHALLENGES OF TOMORROW.

What he was taught about computer use in MHS was far below what he already knew from use at home. It is important that ALL Medford students have the opportunity to be fully computer-literate, with teachers who can guide them knowledgeably.
