Name: Fraser Rasmussen on May 8, 2012Comments: I strongly support this call to oppose the Technion-Cornell partnership, This is outrageous that an outstanding American university would collaborate with an Israeli company based on military arms development, located in our country. A partnership built on financial gain with the knowing intent to suppress the Palestinian population in Israel is truly evil. Mayor Bloomberg and Cornell's Provost Fuchs should be publically chastised.Institutional Affiliation: Central Lutheran Church, Portland, ORFlag

If two people are happy together and are able to make ends meet through whatever means and are not drawing on the overwhelmed social system, then what the hell difference does it make to you or anyone else? It doesn't effect YOUR day any, does it?My husband has THREE degrees, and can't find a frigging job. I never finished going to university but have had my job as a psychology researcher and proofreader for over 10 years. If they dated sonmoee well educated they wouldn't be the dominant one in the relationship she would, intellectually and finacailly and probably in other areas too. Also I don't think well educated women would want to date a man that wasn't. We tend to flock with those we can relate to and maybe they just relate to immature high school girls because thats what they are.Institutional Affiliation: udupkIwNbRriFlag

Name: Gerald on Jun 16, 2012Comments: Your bugs do look like victims of entohophtmoralean fungi to me. The first one is distinctively held down to the leaf by a bunch of hyphae called rhizoids. And although the long hairs coming from the back of the abdomen aren't necessarily our fungus, I can see that they have a salty, crystalline appearance probably because some of the spores that were shot off from the abdomen got hung up on them. I'd agree that the fly in the second photo also looks entohophtmoralean. If I squint I can imagine that the leaf under his butt is salted with spores Sometimes knowing what the host insect is is enough to identify the fungus, but most of the time I'd like to see the fungal structures under a microscope to figure out what you've got. Nice finds!Institutional Affiliation: fKcHGZXJixJzITsFlag
