I'm not saying that in a conceited way, and we are not perfect by any means, but the thought has occurred to me before that my children could have been born (or not born) into a family that would have ended their precious lives.I have a friend who recently had a baby who, when she was pregnant, her boyfriend put extreme pressure on her to have an abortion. His sister who is an OB even said, It's really no big deal. Through lots of encouragement she stood her ground. When she heard the baby's heartbeat for the first time, she texted him to let him know (he wasn't speaking to her at that point). To make a long story short, the baby is a few months old now and her boyfriend (soon to be husband) is a PROUD father. He asked her to stay home with their new baby and is paying all her bills (they don't live together so it's double everything) and he even wants her to look into homeschooling! After the baby was born, he cried for weeks and begged her forgiveness and she says he is probably the most pro-life person ever! Pray for them, though, as they are still not Christians and please pray for me that I would not allow this opportunity to slip through. I've tried to share, and I see improvement, but I admit I am not really gifted in that area.The thing to remember is that while not every story ends this way, God has a story that is unique to every person and he uses it to glorify His name through it. I love Psalm 23 also and God spoke to me through it recently when I read, he leadeth me in the paths of righteousness for his name's sake. I realized through that verse that many times God allows us to go through different situations, not just to refine us, but so that His name will be known (to those who don't know Him) and glorified among us. So sorry to hear about your home, Kelly, but God will be gloried through this!Flag

I am sick of self rthgious people sitting in judgement of others when they themselves have never even been in the situation, or understand it.I would never have an abortion, I am lucky that I am in a place in my life where I would never need to. But I do support the right to choose.For all you suggesting adoption, (which is great in the case of a healthy baby, where the birthmom knew she was pregnant right away and abstained from alcohol/drugs), how many of you have welcomed adoptive children into your homes? It's all fine and good to say someone will adopt the baby, but really .have you welcomed a baby that may potentially have brain damage from alcohol or drugs into your home? Many babies of young women who don't realize they are pregnant right away are exposed to slcohol, which causes the brain to be damaged, the baby may look fine, but may have disabilities discovered once older and abstract thinking is being used, these issues often cause these children to need life long support and help, and fasd is more common in our society than all other disabilities combined!So for all you self rthgious judegemental people, are you reasing a child with these issues? If not, you should shut up and realize it is not always so black and white, and growing up in foster care(where many of these kids do) is not an acceptable alternative.Flag

I clearly stated that abortions shouldn't be thrown around lightly. Girls that spread their legs more than peanut butter shouldn't be allowed to say I don't want this, take it out . But you can't simply judge that women who have abortions are monsters. Maybe the woman that left the remains in the parking lot did it for a reason. I have a firm belief that it wasn't because she didn't care, but because she realized what she actually did. Imagine being scared and alone and not knowing what to do. You feel that abortion is the only way out. Then they hand you that bad when you leave the clinic and when you get to your car, you make the mistake of opening the bag and seeing what's inside. Do you know how that woman probably felt? Don't be so quick to assume she left it there because she had no feelings, her feelings were probably the sole reason WHY she left it there.Flag
