The Goal: To petition lawmakers and insurance companies alike and ask them to improve worker’s compensation laws and coverage, giving injured workers a fair deal.

The Issue:American workers continue to have their right to litigate taken from them due to the current compensation laws that are in place. Congress really needs to amend the worker’s compensation laws to force insurance companies to continue providing all benefits until cases have been resolved and all other avenues have been exhausted.

Currently, the process for obtaining relief can literally take months for an injured worker. What often happens in the process is that the insurance companies can just file an appeal, which causes the entire process to start over again, leaving the injured worker left to find for themselves and some cases unable to perform their regular duties due to their pain and injuries.

The Solution:Since the system is constantly being exploited by insurance companies, the courts are often back logged while the injured federal worker still has nothing and no help. If we put intense pressure on congress to change the laws, we may be able to help them see how important it is to take care of injured workers first and stop treating them like they’re just another number.
