Strong enforcement tactics such as this will encourage other illegals to leave before they get caught. Then let's give honest people a way to come back legally if we really need them to work. It's a basic human rights issue - let 's not allow these people to be exploited for our country's gain. If they don't know enough to keep themselves from being exploited, then we have to keep them from it even if they say they enjoy exploitation. Furthermore, eliminate the "anchor baby" syndrome by requiring proof of 12 month residence and/or marriage/domestic partnership with a citizen before granting citizenship to the baby. MOREOVER, don't forget that these kids will be better off if their parents have to take them back to Mexico or other country of origin and then re-emigrate legally. Then the children will be here honestly and will grow up with more respect for the law. It's a moral issue, and we can't forget the human rights and character issues involved.Flag
