I'm a Celebrity, Get Me Outta Here! - Repetitive Voting

I am sick of this year's I'm a Celeb. Especially when it comes to the bush-tucker trials. The same person gets nominated everyday and does not even bother doing the trials. I'm talking about Helen Flanagan of course. She entered the jungle fully knowing she would have to do these tasks, yet she's not even bothering to try. Why did they allow her to join the show?

Currently as I type this, she has been nominated to do every single task because of the public voting. With tonight's instalment, it comes to 6 trials. I'm not saying that this doesn't normally happen, look at some of the previous years:

2011 - Sinita
2010 - Gillian McKeith
2009 - Katie Price
2007 - Janice Dickinson (who has done 10 trials)

ITV has made a bad move. They've given the choice to vote to the public, who consistently vote for one person every year. This year is different however. Where in previous years, the persons who were repetitively voted actually tried, Helen Flanagan is just 'deciding' not to bother. So essentially what people are voting for is for no trial. That's all they're doing, voting to have no trial, voting to starve the camp mates and paying their voting fee to see no trial. It's obvious the voting is in the majority of the idiots who seem to think they're funny and edgy, because they're nominating the same person every time. But what are they actually getting out of it? They're paying to see this person refuse to do a trial, what a waste.

Other people have been voting for different camp mates with their own money, they're voting for someone to do the trial. Sadly, their votes are ignored and they don't get to see the trial (which they're paying for), because a huge group has to ruin it for the majority. How can they fix this flawed system? Like this:

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Instead of having the choice of all of the camp mates, after each trial, take that camp mates name off the trial selection. That way, everyday, a new celebrity is chosen. If they time this right, they can have all 12 celebrities do one trial before the 'voting to save' half of the show. It can easily be done.

For example:

Day one of voting -

Mr A. 01
Mr B. 02
Mr C. 03
Mr D. 04
Mr E. 05

Now, let's say Mr C. won this days vote, he would now have his name taken off the list for the rest of the week of trial voting.

Day two of voting -

Mr A. 01
Mr B. 02
Mr D. 04
Mr E. 05

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Changing the system to the one I proposed will not restrict the choice of the audience, but rather embrace a lot more variety in the show. With the guarantee that everyone in the camp HAS to do a trial at some point, people can then vote for their favourite celebrity and vote towards their guaranteed trial the next day. Now, I'm not saying this is the best system, as people can still refuse to do the trial, but if ITV actually put in celebrities who they KNEW was brave enough to do the trials, then this will work fine.

Now, they can't apply this system so late in the game this year, but I'm hoping they realise that this is the best system of voting for next year (2013) If you agree with me, then please sign the petition and share it with your friends and family.
