Comments: Inadequate state funding to CPS is CRIPPLING the system, and will drive away hundreds of middle class, working parents who've recently entered the system through Tuition-based Preschool Programs.

Comments: I am lucky to have my child in the regional gifted program. He is, truly, no smarter than many other children. However, the entire system is skewed to benefit children like my son, white kids in middle class neighborhoods. However, it hurts my son, my city, and my friends when the inequities in our schools damage our children.

Comments: Better schools, higher paid teachers, more investment in the children and cirriculum - not more money for guys wearing suits in offices! Everyone would gladly pay more property tax or apt. rent, but everybody knows it doesn't really go to the schools to make the education better. Whose pockets are getting fatter Teachers are working harder than any of those fat, white office guys and a lot of the rest of the American work force. Also, can you start to address the segregation issue and the inequity resulting therefrom It really is disgusting. Why are poor kids not able to do well on the standardized tests, most of who are of a darker color Does anyone really care about improving the school system for the kids.

Comments: I would like to see all of the students in Illinois receive the same education. There is enough wealth in this state to go around for all. No one would have to suffer any lack of resources.

Comments: Illinois ranks 48th of the 50 states in the level of state funding of education. This is deplorable. I am the parent of 5 adult children who attended public elementary schools.

Comments: Please take a look at the inequity of public education funding in Illinois. In Chicago, we pay an exhorbitant amount of taxes, but public schools have abysmal results. Let's put the taxpayer's money to work for our children.

Comments: HB 750 is a trojan horse tax increase. Don't let this state power grab fool you. HB750 advocates state control vs local control. Schools can pass referendums only if they convince the voters and thats how is should be.
