    Comments: I am concerned that we are not taking care of our citizens by letting illegals have heath care. I am also concerned that we are making it too easy to come here. There should be laws in place that force you to have a visa or legal status before having any benefits. You will also have to work to gain credits against your social security to obtain benefits, just like citizens have to.

    Comments: I think all taxpayers would agree that their money should be spent to help American Citizens! There are plenty that are living in poverty, going hungry, living with health problems because even though they are hard-working americans, trying to help our country and scratch out an existence within it, they simply cannot afford it. They have to verify identity, income, adress, and then maybe, maybe they will be eligible for SOME benefits. Illegal aliens don't have to do anything. They don't even have to work. It's not right to neglect our own people. This must come to an end-- immediately. However, I suggest offering those benefits to Americans, instead of just stopping the program altogether. Let the Aliens become US citizens, get a job to put back into the country, whatever, just give the rewards to those who earn them!

    Comments: I am tired of the illegal immigrants taking over California, they are taking away the good jobs and making the job market to go down. I live in Santa Ana and it is known to be "Little Mexico", which wasn't always the case. The good thing about living in this city is that you get to see first hand the way the illegals act and what they do to milk the tax payers day in and day out. Well to start they come over hear illegal usually alone, no attached family members, then they not only help get as many of their family members and friends to get over here illegally as well, they also have as many kids as they can to get as much assistance as they can and secure their right to be legally in this country because of their United States born children. They get on Medi-cal, welfare, food stamps, WIC, commodity food, housing; you name it they try to get what ever free thing they can get by saying "well my poor children, how am I going to support them, do you want them to starve while living on the streets". Unfortunately this touches not only the pockets of the U.S tax payers, but the heart of the taxpayers, becuase after all this country is all about the children, the poor innocent children. And by reading this you may think that I am a very selfish un-loving person, but the truth is that I am not racist towards any culture, race, or sex, I have 4 children myself and both my 1st and second husband are from Mexico, but have Residency to leaglly have the right to work in this country and have gone through the correct leagal channels to have the legal right to work in this country. Well I have been working and pretty much paying taxes since I was twelve and now I am 30 years old. Basically I come from a lower-class family, I am still at this point not even in the middle-class level, due to my financial status. I have found myself in need of government assistant on a few occassions in the past, but could not get any because at the times that I appled the funds were low. I once received food stamps after my 2nd child was born, I went to the place I was told to go to to pick up my food stamps, and what did I see, but quite a few very healthy women waiting in line to get their foodstamps, most of them leaving with books and books of food stamps, the one that irritated me the most was the lady that was in front of me, she was dressed very nice with neck and ears full of gold jewelry, but her poor son who was probably about 6 months old or so, was in a sagging smelly dirty diaper, nothing else, and sucking on not a bottle, not a pacifier, but a nipple from a bottle. He looked very under-nourished, and dirty, and that day was kind of breezy, yet the poor baby was mithout clothing. The mother had a warm jacket on and was holding a Spanish conversation with another women in the line and because I am fluent in Spanish, I understood. She was saying how easy this country is that she had only been in the U.S for approximately 1 year, but that she had a house and that she had Medi-cal,WIC, welfare checks and Food stamps. I was so mad and appauled, I just wanted to scream at her, but because of the way the government is they of course gave her assistance becuase she had a child (maybe more at home), and they felt sorry for the poor child(children), and the parent or parents know that and use their kids. A lot of these family I am describing have their life structured like this: They have quite a few kids, they have as much assistance as they can, their husband works maybe minimum to report that they are at the poverty level to get all this assistance, in the mean time, the wife and this is about 50% of Santa Ana that watches other peoples children in their home without permit or reporting this to the Welfare office as income or even paying taxes and these are the same people that are drving around in brand new or newer Ford 150 trucks, Astro Vans, Expeditions or Mercedes, BMW, or other nice cars that a lot of hard working tax payers like myself can only dream about. They are also the ones that the husband is doing illegal activity on the side: whether it be making false documentation or selling it, being a "Coyote" and helping illegals to immigrate illegally to this country, or selling drugs. Then there are holidays when the illegals come to wherever they can to get as many presents free food or things that they can, when in reality they don't need it. IThe worst holiday is Christmas, which is the best for them, because they drive up to the spot in any number of the nice vehicles that I described above and get out and stand in line to strike it rich with all the gifts they come out with and then leave them at home and continue on to any other place they know about that is giving away free things. I know this personally because this past Christmas, I didn't have any money to buy presents for my kids, so I went to one of these places close to where I live to get a present for my kids, so that they wouldn't have to miss Christmas just because I couldn't afford anything. I stood in line for about 5 hours or so, with my son my youngest child, and waited for my turn in line to get a present. Well I saw people drive up in very nice cars, while I came walking pushing my stroller. I saw some women with only maybe 1 or 2 kids with them coming out with bags and bags of toys. I wondered why they had so much stuff and figured that I would get a lot for my kids, when I got where they were giving away toys, the man said how many children do you have, I said 4, but I only had my son with me beacuse my other 3 were in school, and he said " I'm sorry we can only give you one toy and one tick per child that is here present with you today" I felt very sad, and angry as well, beacuse I saw women with only one child present with them getting about 10-20 toys, and very nice toys, when it came my turn, I said since I could only get a toy for my son, could I have a Tonka Truck, but all they gave me was a small car that was about to fall apart. I got to the second lady who was giving little action figures away and she just looked past me, then I got to the 3rd person and he grabbed a ball out of the box and then put it back into the box, my son looked sad, then when we got to the 5th and final person on the assembly line I got an action figure for my son and the 4th person said well why not go ahead and have a ball and practically thre it at us. I left almost in tears. I felt that they saw my skin color (I am caucasion very light skin color) and just assumed that I was a rich white women who didn't need any help and that it should all go to the poor mexican families. I do feel bad that human beings get treated like dogs, when they have to be stuffed into smothering trucks, trunks, and such to try to get into this country, but I think that only about 10% of the Mexican/Hispanic families should get help and are honest and in need of help. The rest are here to get as much as they can and destroy this country in one way or another and ultimately break this country and Make California Mexico and send the other races away. There is also the issue about all the money that they illegally make here in the United States and send to their country, I think that that's breaking our economy, that the majority of that money should stay in the United States, and that the job market has gone down because of them, before you could get a well paying office job about $12.00-16.00 per hour, now the companies are wanting to pay $8.00-max 10.00 per hour because they accept to work for less, then there are a lot of companies who hire illegals so that they don't have to pay medical benefits for them or taxes, even though they are not supposed too.

    Comments: I work as a Medicaid Intake Worker @ a small hospital. An illegal alien was admitted to ICU for an extended stay on a vent. The patient died after almost 2 mos. The hospital bill is enormous and there are no funds to pay for this patients care. We need help.

    Comments: I am tired of hearing how our taxes keep going up and up, because of so many illegal aliens coming to the United States and bringing their wives and having them get on public assistance. I have hear of illegal alien couples that both come to the U.S. and "both" work and when they have a baby, the woman gets the state to pay for all of the expenses, hospital bill, doctors' bills, "EVERYTHING" and to tell the truth even though my parents were from Mexico I hate what is happening today. I hate the idea that now days illegal immigrants can just come into the U.S. and both husband and wife work and have a baby here and "expect" this government to PAY for their expenses. This has to stop or else the illegal immigrants can get away with more than what they deserve. Not only do they come to this country to work and take jobs away from the AMERICAN people but they also put soooo many "supposed" dependants on the W-4's that they fill out, that they end up paying very little or NO taxes at all. So not only do they get away with not paying taxes or not enough taxes, but they also get away with having the U.S. pay for having baby after baby. That could be one of the many reasons that Social Security will not have enough moneys to pay up on pensions for those LEGAL AMERICANS that work and PAY TAXES. PLEASE put a stop to illegal aliens and their fraud. DOOO something when INS or IRS receive reports of companies who hire these illegal aliens. PLEASE!
