We want to be able to wear what ever shoes we want to school. I feel as though our education should be more important than the shoes we wear to school. I have a pregnant friend that got suspened from school because she wore the only shoes that fit her. I got kicked out for wearing a pair of shoes that didn't have a strap on the back of the heel. I feel as though if high heels, and opened toed shoes are okay, why can't the shoes without a strap be okay also. If Akron Public Schools want to argue that its for a safety reason, well how are 7 inch heels not a safety hazard? Thats change the future for more comfort at school. I just feel as though it should'nt matter what shoes we wear, as long as were here to learn and do what we need to do to graduate. If its okay to wear a long dress or really baggy pants, that are more likely to trip you than why not strapless shoes?
