Never before had I been so ecxited to hang around in a department store, People in South Africa would fall in love with the place, they are all a bunch of weekend handy men, and the wifes/girlfriends want them to perform... in the kitchen in the bathroom in the lounge, but we just do not have the Options the selection. IKEA's range would blow all of us south africans out of the water, come on IKEA south africa is the Sweden of africa. you can make lots of people very very happy. and there is next to no competition, people are waiting on you guys to show us how its done.Flag

Name: Cristina Ells on Aug 24, 2008Comments: it really is a shame how much money gets wasted on bad taste rubbish furniture when if there was an ikea people would spend a lot less and furnish the whole house, in return old furniture would not sell for so much money allowing people on lower incomes to purchase second hand furniture IKEA IN ZA NOW!Flag

Name: Anonymous on Aug 25, 2008Comments: There is a big lack of nice & affordable furniture in SA. The market is currently split into poor quality, cheap stuff or gorgeous, really expensive stuff. IKEA would fill that gap nicely. I think with a shop in Jo'burg and another in Cape Town, they'd be surprised at the number of customers.Flag

Name: Yvonne Van Heijst on Aug 26, 2008Comments: I am originally from the Netherlands and living in South Africa since november 2007. I strongly advise IKEA to open a store in South Africa, like in Johannesburg. There are articles whichfor I cannot buy extra items or the bedlinnen where IKEA has its own sizes. Broken a few glasses and want to have new ones ... and so on .... it is an affordable way of furnishing your home, decorating etc.Flag
