Do not Nanny me and do not presume to know what is right for me, only I know this. I do not need your 'welfare' and I do not need anybody to censor my buying of essential oils by enforcing this amendment. I wonder which drugs company sponsors this amendment Leave My Health Alone...NOW. D.Yates.Flag

Name: Armando Martinez on Jan 26, 2007Comments: I think it's a travesty that truly beautiful natural aromatics aka essential oils are being abolished from the art of perfumery. I really think whomever is behind this all is just a coward and can't stand up for themselves to say "naturals" are part and parcel of the art of perfumery. So synthetics are the way of the future. Fine. But from here, what will be next to take their place when it's discovered that some synthetics may and cause some bad side effects if not properly used I say "PUT A WARNING LABEL" on any scent that has natural and synthetic ingredients. STOP BEING BIG PUSSIES, there I said. I'm very perturbed by this issue. I use both types of oils and I'd hate to have one day NO ACCESS to obtaining them for my use in my perfumery biz. This is absolutely ludicrous. Why not decide to take away are sense of smell because i can be dangerous to our health to BREATHE!!! Cowards! I have spoken my piece. Not a happy person here. No way for me to say anything but how I feel about this hot button issue amongst perfumers.Flag

I have a good bit of experience when it comes to smelling a rat in the corn crib .. and this Amendment has the odor of many rats! Covering one's butt at the expense of logical alternatives is an idealistic approach .. or worse .. a selfish, greedy, attempt to further the interests of big business. I think the IFRA is losing credibility now .. and I think you will not be able to easily regain this credibility!Flag
