101 Donna YatesI have a basic right to use natural oils of MY choice. I will not have my choice taken away by you. Do not Nanny me and do not presume to know what is right for me, only I know this. I do not need your 'welfare' and I do not need anybody to censor my buying of essential oils by enforcing this amendment. I wonder which drugs company sponsors this amendment ? Leave My Health Alone...NOW. D.Yates.

110 Armando MartinezI think it's a travesty that truly beautiful natural aromatics aka essential oils are being abolished from the art of perfumery. I really think whomever is behind this all is just a coward and can't stand up for themselves to say "naturals" are part and parcel of the art of perfumery. So synthetics are the way of the future. Fine. But from here, what will be next to take their place when it's discovered that some synthetics may and cause some bad side effects if not properly used? I say "PUT A WARNING LABEL" on any scent that has natural and synthetic ingredients. STOP BEING BIG PUSSIES, there I said. I'm very perturbed by this issue. I use both types of oils and I'd hate to have one day NO ACCESS to obtaining them for my use in my perfumery biz. This is absolutely ludicrous. Why not decide to take away are sense of smell because i can be dangerous to our health to BREATHE!!! Cowards! I have spoken my piece. Not a happy person here. No way for me to say anything but how I feel about this hot button issue amongst perfumers.

112 Mary DavisonCigarettes, the only product that kills when used properly, are legal, but the IFRA wishes to ban chemicals found in nature, and used for thousands of years without problems? When did such bad science become the norm?

136 Butch OwenAfter having worked a number of years in government .. and after retirement having worked as a manager in a corporate environment .. I have a good bit of experience when it comes to smelling a rat in the corn crib .. and this Amendment has the odor of many rats! Covering one's butt at the expense of logical alternatives is an idealistic approach .. or worse .. a selfish, greedy, attempt to further the interests of big business. I think the IFRA is losing credibility now .. and I think you will not be able to easily regain this credibility!

138 Robert CrookI am against the phasing out of natural material from any fragrance product.

140 Sandi LundbergI find this criminal. What is next the regulation of the natural food supply? Big business is not thinking of the welfare of consumers. Some one needs to stand up and quit lining their pockets.

149 AthenaI am severely allergic to the chemical substances in perfumes and can only wear natural scents, I also actually enjoy being able to make my own blended scents and soaps. We are just going into a world of nothing but chemicals, some of us actually preffer what nature brings, not the governments appear to care. Chemical manufacturing and dollars apparently are of ore concern then our health or our environment!
150 Jane DePalmaWhy are industrialized countries so opposed to anything natural? I have heard arguments about the allergic potential of these substances but what a poor excuse. What next shall we regulate? Bees, peanuts? As an American with regular experience with the pharmaceutical industry and lobbying effort in this country, I know that it simply boils down to the dollar. Unfortunatley for governments, there is very little taxing ability in the world of natural substances. What a shame we have become.
