| 852 | Lauren Goss | Hopefully common sense and fair play will win the day here. To ban natural products and allow the giant manufacturers of synthetic chemicals and poisons to survive and prosper is just a PRESCRIPTION FOR DISASTER.
Perhaps the people who will make the final decisions about these amendments will consider their own children and grandchildren and not be completely blinded by greed and corruption. They must decide now as to what sort of world we will eventually leave as a legacy to future generations. Will children of the future be beneficiaries to diseases, cancers and deformities, or will they grow in health and prosperity?

| 853 | Peter Corcoran | Why is it that giant corporations believe they can ride roughshod over everyone else? Is no thought given to the type of existence their children and their children's children will inherit because of hasty, thoughtless decisions they make today? |

| 858 | N Halter | As a natural skin care manufacturer, I strongly urge everyone to oppose this type of legislation. All consumers have the right to speak with their dollar, and they are choosing natural alternatives to synthetic fragrances and products. |

| 862 | Christine Hodges | To restrict or oppose the use of natural essential oils by manufacturers is like restricting or opposing the use of tobacco or alcohol by manufacturers. It is legal to make products containing tobacco and alcohol. If people do not want to use them, they are free to avoid them. |

| 866 | Judith Koning-Engelen | As aromatherapist I totally agree that the restrictions put forward by new regulations restrict the work for not olny perfumers but give problems for aromatherapists too.....oils that have never given any problems while using them are all of a sudden 'dangerous allergenes', better not to be used anymore.......so I gladly sign this petition! |

| 887 | Gina Darrow | I am outraged to hear of this possible ban. The effects of this ban will be detrimentrial and widespread, and will serve only to benefit large corporations, not the consumers it proposes to look after.
Please do not allow for this ban to pass. Consumers have a right to have options and to make informed choices for themselves. |

| 891 | R Francis | I think it is up to the consumer to decide what they want to use, and we don't need the 40th Amendment! All we need is a bit of common sense when we use essential oils, which I am sure we all have. The research they use to base their legislation on isn't even trustworthy, ... so where does that leave us? It is so WRONG! |

| 894 | Elise Clark | I know I should give some profound reasoning, but I really just love citrus scents and perfume in general. I cannot imagine no longer being able to use citrus scented items. |
| 895 | Anonymous | As a consumer, I oppose any movement which will restrict my freedom to choose. I believe the 40th IFRA Amendment will harm not only small organic and natural perfumery businesses, but also the consumers of their products. If there is concern, I am sure there are many alternatives to a complete ban or an unreasonable bureacratic tangle that I believe would be created by such a measure. Please, allow consumers to use their own discretion and allow small perfumers to continue offering their amazing products without undue hardship. |
| 896 | Joan Davis | Since when did I and other responsible adults suddenly become so incapable of making our own decisions that government feels it must step in and make them for us? These proposed regulations are not only ridiculous and unthought out, but they will also drastically damage business not only in the UK but worldwide. I think these "regulators should go and find somewher else to play, preferably on another planet! |

| 898 | Erin Fraser | I am allergic to synthetic fragrances. They give me headaches and make my eyes burn. I also experience stomach upset. I do not experience these symptoms with products scented with natural substances. It would be very unfair to promote the in interests of the chemical companies in this matter. Natural essential oils have been used for hundreds, if not thousands of years. Please do not make a ridiculous decision, as it will affect the natural cosmetics industry fatally (or is this your goal?) not to mention severely restricting chemically sensitive consumer's choices. You will not be gaining consumers across the demographic- we won't suddenly be buying synthetic products, just as a diabetic wouldn't start eating sugar if artificial sweeteners were unavailable. We will be making our own products. Please do not implement these regulatios. Sincerely, Erin Fraser |
| 899 | Yuri | Its better to acknowlage the beauty of a flower than to cut it open and find out how it works. Nature is what we are given, Nature is what we'll use |
| 900 | Scott Ballard | I don't believe making it easier for ourselfs will benefit the end user. Synthetics are antithetical to human biology. |
