| 57 | Anonymous | My wife had to order a replacement ssn card and was told by the Social Security Administration that it would arrive by mail, if never did. Upon checking the status, it had been shipped but never recieved and she has to request again. This could well be the second case of identity theft she has gone through. The first time, all we could do is close the bank account, lock the abused credit cards and suffer. Maybe Visa looked into it but thats all. No charges, no suspect, no help in any way. Even though transactions took place at buisnesses which had surveilence cameras. Something needs to be done, anything! And this sounds like a great start. Protect your people, nobody else will. |

Why are we in the position of having to pass laws and pay fees to protect the privacy and integrity of our citizens? Those issuing credit need to be held accountable for their eagerness to contribute to the problem. |
