We urge you to proceed with the proposed plan as soon as possible. The naturalized ice-skate path will only occupy 12% of the park and is intended to be PART OF the naturalized setting, which is what makes it so attractive. This is a great opportunity for the community allowing residents to use the park during the winter months. Passive leisure skating among trees and nature is only one of MANY reasons Colonel Samuel Smith Park is the perfect location.
