Canada has, up until recently, had a track record of being one of the most socially responsible nations on Earth. Yet when our children ask us what we did to curb the environmental destruction we are causing daily, what will we say We can say we started by pressuring our government to become more environmentally responsible, by signing petitions just like this one. You don't have to drive a hybrid or become a vegetarian to prove you care about the world. You just have to prove you're willing to stand up for your planet.
