On September 8, 2003 the accomplished host of \"Inside the Actor\'s Studio\", James Lipton welcomed Barbra Streisand for a milestone interview at the New School University Actors Studio Drama School\'s Tishman Theater in New York City. \"Streisand\'s presence is a fitting tribute, as Lipton has been requesting that she be a guest on \"Inside the Actors Studio\" since the show\'s inception. One of the most accomplished performers of all-time, Streisand\'s numerous awards include two Oscars, seven Emmys, eight Grammys, eleven Golden Globes, an American Film Institute award and a Cecil B. DeMille Award, among others. Masterfully conducted by Lipton it featured one of the greatest and most accomplished entertainers of our time giving insights to the guests at the Theater, answering questions spanning the decades of her career with endearing charm, wit and honesty. The 2-hours-long program aired on March 21, 2004, featuring approximately 90 minutes of interview plus illustrating images and movie clips. However, close to five hours of interview were recorded. Given Mrs. Streisands unique status as on of the most versatile and accomplished entertainers in the history of recording arts, film and television, James Liptons interview is nothing short of historic and of strong interest to Ms. Streisands Fans, fellow artists and entertainers and the general public. We hope to collect signatures showing this interest so that \"Inside the Actor\'s Studio\" and Mister Lipton may consider a seconds special or the release of the interview on DVD.

As a Fan I have strong interest in the \"missing\" 3 hours of an interview that I regard as historic and unique since the audience were members of the Actor\'s Studio, actors, artists who most understand and value the insights an accomplished actor might give about their craft. On a number of web sites and Forums in Tribute to Ms. Streisand and her accomplishments the interest in the full interview was expressed strongly within hours of the program being aired and accounts by people who witnessed the interview are surfacing. In the best interest of every Fan, admirer and otherwise I would strongly hope the full interview will be released.
