Name: Bryan Ramsey on Feb 2, 2008Your City: virginia beachComments: I am adamantely opposed to a temporary or permanent dredge spoils station located at the lynnhaven boat launch as i use this site constantly as a kayaker. i can barely make way as is... there will be NO kayaking once barges start their routes... throwing other boaters my way... not to mention the barges themselves! what a HORRIBLE site this will make from the bridge for tourists.Flag

Name: Steven Obara on Feb 3, 2008Your City: Virginia BeachComments: I am writing to inform you that I and my family are in complete opposition to the proposed dredge material transfer station at the Lynnhaven Boat Ramp. This would be a major degradation of the area and I strongly oppose the plans to install the dredging station at this location. I implore you to act now and kill this proposal. Sincerely, Steven Obara 2253 Wake Forest St Virginia Beach, VA 23451Flag

Name: Tom White on Feb 3, 2008Your City: Virginia BeachComments: The logistics don`t make sense, there must be an economical way to remove or disperse the spoils nearer their excavation. Aesthetically, there are no positives. The safety and liability issues, on water, within the ramp facility, and on a already over stressed Shore Drive are not being properly thought through. Find a better way !Flag

Name: Bill Meredith on Feb 3, 2008Your City: Virginia BeachComments: I agree with the petition. I would like to add that the trucks will leak sludge in the streets and the smell with destroy the neighborhoods. This is not a project you want to centralize. Costs should not be the priority consideration for this project. Shore Drive is an upscale community that should be preserved as such.Flag

Name: Daniel Zielinski on Feb 4, 2008Your City: ChesapeakeComments: Even though VA Beach has the right of way to this ramp I believe there are a lot of people outside Va Beach who use this ramp because it leads into Chesp. Bay which is not just the city's. This will hurt the recreational boaters and it will also hurt the public officials who seek re-election. I know I sure would not vote for any person who would let this happen. No one will really win if this goes into affect.Flag

Name: Jim Stoneman on Feb 4, 2008Your City: VBComments: This and other proposals are creating a very negative effect on the quality of life I moved here for. While I support dredging, the heavy traffic and noise far out weighe the benefits. With the near by beaches so low, it would be a better use to pump it to enlarge the beach front.Flag
