Name: Brian C. on Jun 19, 2012I AM A:other:Comments: Superintendent Tony Smith has done enough damage. He needs to be fired. The lawsuit by Santa Fe parents and guardians lays out just one set of reasons sufficient to terminate him. The increase of charter schools that are destroying his district during his tenure would be another good reason. Run schools for all of Oakland's children.Flag

We need to participate in grassroots efforts to educate our youth, because the government has not and will not do so.Flag

This is my city, my neighborhood, and shipping 7 year olds out of their neighborhood is unsafe and expensive. If the city actually represented its citizens, the police wouldn't make twice the median income of the average household while services and schools waste away.Flag
