I support the G.E.M. plan because I believe that best methods to solving problems are rarely radical ones. Our dependence on coal makes it impossible for us to switch to an alternative form, but that is not to say that we should not develop those energies. The G.E.M. plan promotes research funding by coal companies for these new energies while providing the incentive to want to provide the money.
