    Comments: It's in high school that people's personalities and beliefs are really formed. More students become prejudiced against gays in their teens than in any other time of their life. Not having the Gay/Straight Alliance is sending a message to students at C.D. Hylton High: it's okay to be bigoted against gays.

    Comments: I think that it is great for students to create organizations such as this. The problem we had in our school district was that the conservative paretns who had all of the money had ties with school officials, but after a few battles, they got to create the club!
