Name: Fred Hogue on May 12, 2003State: MICountry: USComments: It's about time for a change so we don't have to depend on other nations oil reserves. I would vote for complete reform on this mater. also for electric power instead of nuke. In factory's for heavy equipment. This would be the largest thing to boost the economy in decades !!Flag

Name: Nathan Meryash on Aug 7, 2003State: NYCountry: USComments: Hydrogen refueling can be quick to impliment in that we do not need to construct any pipelines or truck it. It can be made from water and electricity in electrolyzers on site of exisiting refueling stations and pumped in liquid form into vehicles via robotic pumps already developed and proven in by a partnership with bmw. The vehicles capible of running on liquid hydrogen are a far superior product than traditional ICE vehicles. The two best examples being Toyota's FINE-S and GM's Hywire. If the refueling industry plays it's cards right, it will potentially make a greater profit on hydrogen than it does with oil in that it will quickly become (within a year or so) far more abundant and cheaper to obtain than drilling, reffining, shipping, piping, trucking, etc. oil. Although oil is becoming a renewable resource itself (in the last few weeks it was anounced oil can be made economically from depolymerization of waste) it is still a threat to the environment, making a cleaner alternative (hydrogen) enevitable & essential. This should not hurt the market for depolymerization though since the oil derived from that proccess will be extremely valuable in manufacturing of pertrolieum based products such as plastics. In other words we can use depolymerization as an extremely economically feasable alternative to more primative recycling proccesses.Flag

Name: Deborah Maclean on Nov 17, 2003State: FLCountry: USComments: Its about time we leveled the playing field and get rid of our dependancy on gasoline. This will serve two purposes: save our environment and minimize the Middle East's self importance to the world. Fossil fuel will become obsolete and we will be the leader. Its a new world, its a new economy. PS I am a RepublicanFlag
