Name: Joshua Nitschke on Nov 29, 2007Comments: This is wonderful technology - yes RED is cheap compared to other HD cameras, but it's a lot of overkill for many people and there are still all the accessories that have to be bought when one shoots red. These mods give really low budget indies something like a mini-RED cam, and that's a good thing. Please continue support for and installing these mods!Flag

Name: Christopher Wilms on Nov 29, 2007Comments: I'd like to see the Hydra/Andromeda technology continue to be developed for the low-budget indi film maker. I think it's a necessary stepping stone for those indies trying to make it into the industry starting with a personal sized budget.Flag

Name: Timon Jaehnert on Nov 30, 2007Comments: I have several friends that are really interested in the Hydra. If the Hydra won't be available for the HVX then my friends and I are just going to hack the HVX, get some students that work in Engineering, and come out with our own Hydra. But if the Hydra does come out and it's less than $3,000 for the upgrade. Then it's worth it to get the upgrade. I mean come on the HVX is now work $4,000. A $3,000 upgrade would be asking a lot. You could almost buy two HVX's for that money.Flag

Please keep this product alive. It represents the hopes and dreams of many future movie makers by leveling the playing field for all.Flag
