SUPPORT THE HYATT HOUSEKEEPERS UNITED FOR OUR RIGHTS

There are more than 100 women who make up the Hyatt Housekeepers United for Our Rights of San Diego in their plight for justice and in opposition to a 30 Room Cleaning policy that went into effect January 17.
More than 90% of the Housekeeping departments are in their 10th day of consecutive protest to this unjust cleaning policy.
The housekeepers who are assigned 17 rooms and are expected to complete as many as 30 rooms within an 8 hour work day. This assignment is an affront to safe working condition and to the basic dignity of workers.
Even as they work and produce huge amounts of profit for this corporation, Hyatt owners continue to demand greater production without any consideration to the physical and psychological impact this will have on the workers, their families and the community.
The overwhelming majority of the Hyatt Housekeeping department has said “Enough Is Enough” and we call on the San Diego community and beyond to support safe and dignified working conditions in this city.
We invite all who believe in class struggle to unite with the working women of the Manchester Grand Hyatt Housekeeping department by SIGNING ONTO THIS PETITION and/or by contacting the Manchester Grand Hyatt and expressing concern on the 30 room cleaning policy.
