SUPPORT THE HYATT HOUSEKEEPERS UNITED FOR OUR RIGHTS -PLEASE SIGN ONTO THIS PETITION BELOW- There are more than 100 women who make up the Hyatt Housekeepers United for Our Rights of San Diego in their plight for justice and in opposition to a 30 Room Cleaning policy that went into effect January 17. More than 90% of the Housekeeping departments are in their 10th day of consecutive protest to this unjust cleaning policy. The housekeepers who are assigned 17 rooms and are expected to complete as many as 30 rooms within an 8 hour work day. This assignment is an affront to safe working condition and to the basic dignity of workers. Even as they work and produce huge amounts of profit for this corporation, Hyatt owners continue to demand greater production without any consideration to the physical and psychological impact this will have on the workers, their families and the community.
