Petition to Board of Managers

We, the undersigned residents and unit owners of Hudson View West Condominium (HVW), located at 300 Albany Street, New York, NY 10280, wish to express our collective appreciation and support of the concierge and maintenance staff who are currently employed to help the owners and residents of our building at HVW.  The selection and hiring of a new resident or non-resident superintendent will be important in demonstrating our support to staff and continuing an uninterrupted level of service.  During the selection and hiring process, we request that the Board of Managers interview potential candidates for the position of resident or non-resident superintendent having two (2) to three (3) letters of reference and the following qualifications:

·         At least three to five years of superintendent and  management experience;

·         A high level of competency in maintenance, repairs and building operations;

·         The ability and maturity to direct staff and schedule work; and

·         Excellent public relations skills.

In addition, we request the HVW Board of Managers appoint two unit owner volunteers to act as a “Selection Committee”. 

 The Selection Committee would:

1.  Assist the board in interviewing potential candidates;

2.  Provide input to the board on the best candidates for the role based on the aforementioned qualifications and the Board of Manager’s job qualifications; and  

3.  Provide qualitative and financial assessment support and input to the Board of Managers in the evaluation of a resident versus non-resident superintendent at HVW.
