The city finally reversed their position and committed to the Main Street alignment for the LRT. I have spent years worrying about the future of our downtown streets and seeing this victory makes every effort worthwhile. We need to stay involved to ensure they follow through on this promise.

Seeing this level of support for the Main Street route proves I am not the only one exhausted by the gridlock in our city. It felt like a lonely battle at the start but this momentum reminds me that we are finally being taken seriously.

Watching this list grow reminds me how many of my neighbors rely on these transit connections every single day. We need to hit that first hundred signatures before this week is out to show the council we are a force that cannot be ignored.

The LRT should not be diverted off its main route. Council should accept the funding as this is a once in a lifetime opportunity. Groups like CFBB are distracting the conversation without providing facts and evidence based planning.
Anything to improve public transit in the city of brampton. it currently is abysmal, and as a manager of staff who rely on brampton transit they lose about 2 hours a week in pay due to buses running late or not showing up.
We cannot continue to be slaves to the automobile. If Brampton ever wants to graduate to a legitimate city to in which to live rather than simply Toronto's bedroom, then we need to suck it up and grow up. Let's get the LRT built for our future generations.
As a new Canadian (11 months), it is amazing to me that with the tremendous expansion of the City of Brampton, there has been no similar expansion of any infrastructure. As someone originally from Europe, I find this both equally strange and absurd.
The HMLRT project is critical to improve both the economic vibrancy and the physical health of Bramptonians. This LRT project will make active transportation a real option and alleviate congestion at the same time. I sincerely hope NIMBY does not win again!

We are in desperate need of a mode of transportation that will connect Brampton to Mississauga in a fast and effective way. I am deeply invested in this project as a Brampton resident who takes public transit I see immense benefit to myself and my family.
