This is not a request for money. Just your goodwill!

Please support the Huntsville Theatre Company in its effort of keep the doors open at 24 Chaffey Township Road (known otherwise as Chaffey Hall). It is where over the past 5 years you have enjoyed as many as 35 productions/events that engaged 115 of your friends and neighbours both onstage and behind the scenes. You have,over that time, been part of an audience and/or participant that exceeds twelve thousand, many of whom have eaten in our local restaurants, stayed in our local bed and breakfasts and hotels and enjoyed a beverage or two in our local pubs following a performance.

The future of this established community-driven theatre is in jeopardy. We currently rent the Theatre space, and our lease renewal is at risk. We want to secure our future by purchasing the building (for the asking price of $2.00) from the Town of Huntsville, but we can't do that without your support. We have made substantial improvements to the building inside and out. By owning it, additional space for storage and rehearsal would greatly benefit our shows and programs.

In the past, we have been privileged to be recipients of Pay It Forward, Town of Huntsville and District of Muskoka grants. However, provincial arts grants for major improvements are only available if we own the building. We are a not-for-profit incorporated company with an active board of directors. We enjoy as many as 135 year-round theatre subscribers, 12 patrons, 35 theatre members and are the region's only community theatre company that operates year round in one facility.

We have been providing a free after-school drama program to children and youth for the past 4 years, have offered affordable workshops and training during our annual Muskoka Drama Festivals and the theatre has become a place of belonging for all ages in our community.
