Name: Jessica Harrington on Nov 6, 2009Comments: I am currently in 3rd year, studying the human sciences degree, i throroughly enjoy it. I remember when i was looking for a degree that implemented both biology and psychology and my answer was human sciences, there was only a few universities that practiced the course, therefore my choice was narrowed down, hence i picked sussex. I think if sussex carried on with the human sciences degree, they will be attracting individual students, and because the course has limited universities available, sussex will be a common choice.Flag

Name: Katie Thompson on Nov 6, 2009Comments: I find it shocking that a university is prepared to discontinue the Human Sciences programme when you clearly have such aspiring and kean students as we have come to appreciate at Durham, Please consider your decision very carefully. I did in fact consider this programme when I applied for university.Flag

Name: Jos Canavan on Nov 6, 2009Comments: as a ucl human scientist, i cannot obviously speak on total behalf of the sussex human sciences programme, but i definitely feel obliged to say NO to its potential discontinuation. it is an amazing degree, making sure british students have access to all the education they want; like the USA, it should not be deemed as unworthy, but more the norm method of sutdy: multidisiplinaryFlag

Name: John Maule on Nov 7, 2009Comments: Human Sciences adds so much value to the university, offering a unique chance for students to cross academic borders. I love the course, as I know do the others currently studying it and alumni from the university. If the cut is allowed to go ahead as planned it will be a terrible shame and bad news for education at the University of Sussex.Flag

Name: Dominic Hinde on Nov 7, 2009Comments: As one of few universities to offer the course and because the notably high calibre of Human Science graduates I have encountered, the university would be making a big mistake by closing the course. Given that it covers a number of disciplines and is not a department in itself, stopping the course on cost grounds seems somewhat illogical. Dominic HindeFlag
