Considering myself to be a loyal and contributing member of this city I find myself in complete awe at how this organization is being run!

After having spoken to at least 3 different workers from the society there seems to be management problems.Apparently ,as quoted by a few workers, our small city seems to be producing 60 cats a day and 300 cats anytime in residence.

They have stated they have only 1 Veternarian to handle this vast quantity of incoming animals. What happens is that for example -I rescued a stray cat#A170479 adult male cat. After a few weeks there was no found claim so I have stated I wish to adopt the cat to which they will charge me full price. Now it has been sinceAugust 7th that the cat should have been fixed and so now to be in my possession.I was given a date but was bumped by emergency cats they have had every day sinceAug 7,2014.

They have acontract with the City of Ottawa and so you think that Mr.Rooney would notice this and have the situation corrected(ie:sub-contract another veternarian).to be able to assure quick re-homing of the pets that are not under contract to the local pet stores.

Um..Also some people wonder where all the animals are coming from,as mentioned to me as I was told that my phone had been on speaker phone.?!!

They also have a problem within their organization to have all their employees access to their computer to help customers on the phone in regards to information with the animlas records and the veternarians schedule. Also needing a private phone to assure you donot hear the customers and staff talking as this is private.

There is also a most recent request that the Cty of Ottawa extend itsOC Transpobus route to ensure that the bus goes right up to the door for donation drop-offs and viewing of the animalsrequiring youtoto walk a half an hour to get there.
