According to hattrick's logo upload content agreement, the only person allowed to upload content, is the Content Author (technially, the would be the designer of the logo). However, as long as the uploader has permission to use the image (as usual with logos), they can still upload. When you upload your logo, you now agree that hattrick has the non-exclusive, perpetual (no time limit), royalty-free rights to "use, reproduce, copy, publish, display, distribute, adapt, modify or otherwise exploit that Content within Hattrick" As you can see, they can do anything they want with it without asking you. Granted, this says "within Hattrick" meaning they may not exploit the work outside of Hattrick (whether that is hattrick.org or hattrick ltd is unclear) The agreement also states: "The Company reserves the right, in its discretion, to modify the terms and conditions of this Agreement at any time by posting such modifications in Hattrick. Any Content Author who thereafter submits Content to Hattrick and any Content Viewer who thereafter accesses Hattrick to view Contents will be bound by such posted modifications" Basically, they can change the rules without the consent or opinions of the "Content Authors". This, however, is nothing new, because that is why we are petitioning in the first place, because of the new rules. They are allowed to change rules, regulations, and agreements whenever they want, but when it's something that affect the rights of many people, there really should be some agreement between the "Company" and the "Content Author". The goal of this petition is to show Hattrick LTD that we need to reach a solution. Some ideas: Allow for external, chpp websites to host logos for hattrick users, so we do not have to abide by their rights agreements. The rules based on offensive images and so on should still be enforced, however. or Remove the section of the agreement allowing hattrick to use/modify/exploit our content as they so choose (while allowing them to display it). If they want to use it, they contact they person displaying the logo, the displayer can then tell them who the designer is (if it's another person) and they can, in turn, contact them. If Hattrick does agree to remove the above section, it is also highly recommended that the limit be raised to a MINIMUM of 100kb, since users no longer have the option of external hosting. Don't the hundereds of thousands of loyal HT Supporters deserve it
