Sign this petition to show your support for Hudson River Park and the formation of a Hudson River Park Neighborhood Improvement District! Hudson River Park is the backyard for the West Side. The Park has improved the quality of life for New Yorkers and increased local property values. But did you know that this investment is at risk? The Park is not a City or State park and receives no public money for maintenance and operations. Without your support, the Park you use as your gym, playground, concert venue and haven to escape, will fall into disrepair. That’s why we need your help to repair the park, preserve property values, and improve our entire neighborhood. The Hudson River Park Neighborhood improvement District (NID) is a key part of the plan to sustain Hudson River Park – with businesses and residents asked to pay a modest assessment to generate $10 million annually. The NID will provide and advocate for: - Improved access to Hudson River Park, including pedestrian bridges, crossing guards and improved crosswalks - Investments in safer sidewalks, new benches and plantings - Cleaned and well maintained highway medians - Critical maintenance for the Park - Improvements and maintenance for other neighborhood parks and public spaces within the District. We need your help to let the City know that you support the plan to improve and maintain the Park for generations to come. Get involved, support your park!
