Name: ROBERT M KLUG on Mar 20, 2010Comments: When my tx1000 took a dump in less than 12 months I was not happy, I dropped $2k on 'my first laptop/notebook you see, but I sent it back and returned it in good working order, then when it did the same exact 'dump' after the 12month warranty and they played their games with me and my time I knew exactly what game they were playing. I bought a new Dell Studio laptop with an in-home warranty, and Epson printer and have not spent a cent on anything with "HP" on it. I did get it working somewhat with the hair dryer tip, but I want it repaired in a Quality manner and at no expense to me and a letter from HP saying that: We are sorry for not treating you fairly and would like to now make it up to so we can have your back as a customer. PS: My daughters HP notebook did the same thing and I bought her a Mac Book, as she had asked for when I bought her the HP, same answer, too bad so sad.Flag

Name: Brian Fidalgo II on Mar 20, 2010Comments: Agreed! I had problems with this laptop from year one. after many calls to customer relations, hp replaced the motherboard, wireless card, and hard drive. one at a time over the course of 3 months under warranty. The hard drive crash cost me an arm and a leg for data recovery. Also, i still have issues with a disappearing Broadcom wireless card. As well as, a the inability for me to truly use this as a laptop due to excessive heat. now however, my warranty is long gone and im stuck with it. come on hp, where is the loyalty?Flag

Name: Anya on Mar 22, 2010Comments: My laptop has all of these symptoms and died about a year and a half after I bought it. I got the blue screen the first day I had it and brought it back to Best Buy and told them and they said it was my fault....well I got that screen many many more times until finally about 1 month after the 1 year warranty went the laptop would not recognize the wifi card. And about 5 months after that I got the black screen and it would never boot up again after that. I called HP and complained everytime I had a problem, they were rude and would not even talk to me about it unless I paid $98 just to talk and they still wouldn't even fix anything. I would never tell anyone to buy HP crap.Flag

Having seen enough angry comments on HP customer service. I just gave it up and bought a new notebook. Of course it is not HP and I will never own any HP products again.Flag

Name: Manuel Lim on Mar 26, 2010Comments: I've had the tx1320us for about 2 years now and it miraculously still runs. I attribute my TX's lifespan to the fact that I am not a heavy user and that I do not run the computer in a hot place and day. If I do, I most certainly will cause the laptop to automatically shutdown because of the extreme heat generated from it. I have read many reviews and many possible solutions and all the software configurations that tried to address issue but there simply doesn't seem to be an answer except that the computer was manufactured with inadequate testing and durability issues. Honestly, I always liked HP and their products, but like many others, the outcome of this issue may decide for me whether or not I buy an HP ever again. Please do something HP. You may be late for some customers who gave up but there are some of us who are still loyal and still waiting for an answer. Sincerely, MannyFlag

Name: San Perry on Mar 27, 2010Comments: My tx1000 lost the ability to connect wirelessly to the internet first, forcing me to use an external connection. Shortly after that problem developed, the screen went black, even though the computer was clearly booting up and running. Connecting it to an external monitor screen didn't work. This computer has always been very hot when running also. I was only given the option of sending it back to get the motherboard replaced for the cost of 400 dollars. My household now owns Toshiba computers. HP lost us as customers. A shame, really, when one considers we paid 1,700 dollars for the tx...Flag
